Unified’s Successfully Constructed Cleanroom Projects
DOW – DKM Battery Facility
- Client: Shinhan Advanced Air Technology
- Project: DOW – DKM Battery Facility
- Type: Cleanroom/Dryroom
- Location: Saginaw, Michigan
- Approximate Value: $9,000,000
- Approximate Size: 200,000 SF
- Facility Criteria: 1% R.H.

- Logistics of the project and associated scheduling of manpower

This is by far the largest panel installation for a single project performed by the Unified team. This project required over 600,000 SF of panels to be installed in approximately six months. The large amount of panels and the aggressive schedule was achieved by having a peak work force of 100+ employees. In addition, two shifts were required for extended periods of time to achieve project goals and customer requirements. Unified’s Safety Program positioned us to meet or exceed the stringent safety requirements of our customer.
Genentec

- Personnel were deployed to Singapore for training
- Partially constructed Cleanrooms modules were shipped from South Carolina

Merck
- Client: Merck
- Project: Merck Pharma Cleanroom
- Type: Pharma Cleanroom
- Location: Durham, NC and Goose Creek, SC
- Approximate Value: $2,800,000
- Approximate Size: 100,000 SF
- Facility Criteria: Class 10,000 and 100,000
- Project Challenges:
- The coordination of the modular construction that was occurring at Jacobs Engineering Facility located in Goose Creek, South Carlolina and site built panel construction in Durham, North Carolina.
- Utilizing two crews with multiple foremen
- Complexity existed due to two separate customer requirements for the cleanroom and environmental chamber
- Scheduling delays on the front-end of this project compressed the time available to complete the project
The compressed schedule required Unified to double the resources from the original man loading schedule. Unified was able provide the proper staffing to complete the project on schedule and provided excellent quality products. The customer commented that the new facilities were the best looking facilities they have in the world.
Michigan Automotive Compressor Inc (MACI)
Unified Cleanroom Construction recently completed the installation of a cleanroom for M.A.C.I. at their Parma, MI plant. Here are a couple of pictures of the cleanroom construction team and the helicopter that was used to get some of the mechanicals on top of the building.
